The program was constructed around the idea of conscious living and citizenship. Participants will learn the principles of creating a civil society, and after the training, they will be able to consciously participate in its formation. They will be aware of their impact on personal and public life while understanding the necessity of taking responsibility for their decisions - both in personal and social life.
The program addresses important issues that impact the lives and choices of each of us. We explain what human needs are and what their hierarchy is.
We will describe the social roles of individuals in relation to their membership in various social groups; we will present the principles of reciprocity, trust, and assistance.
We will clarify the nature of the socialization process, providing examples of social influence in various areas of life. We will analyze specific cases and present the advantages and disadvantages of conformity and nonconformity in everyday life.
Finally, we will explain the differences between tolerance and acceptance; we will discuss the mechanisms of creating divisions in society between "us" and "them" and the causes, manifestations, and effects of intolerance and stigmatization. We will present possible ways to counteract these phenomena.
We will discuss the characteristics of contemporary society
We will present types and examples of non-governmental organizations along with their tasks and goals.
A conscious citizen is someone who knows their rights and freedoms, and can also use and defend them. They are an active participant in social and political life, who cares about who governs and how they do it.
We will teach how to conduct a critical analysis of campaign materials (e.g., ads, memes, leaflets, and slogans).
We will show how to independently analyze media messages and compare reports from different media outlets.
We will demonstrate ways to recognize the pathologies of public life and their negative impact on public life, such as corruption and nepotism.
We will teach how to interpret public opinion research results, compare survey outcomes, and formulate hypotheses regarding causes and differences that exceed the margin of statistical error.
We will provide basic information about human rights, including a catalog of rights, means of protection, and organizations operating in this area.
